    Description

Judge for a Day Betty Boop Animation Drawing (Fleisher, 1935).
"If I we're a Judge I'd have something to say!" Says Betty Boop in Judge for a Day. Betty is the stenographer at the local courthouse. On the bus ride to work one day, she grows tired of the annoying actions of some of her compatriots, which she refers to as "pests", and fantasizes about what she'd do if she were the judge. Mae Questel provided the voice for Betty Boop in this Dave Fleischer-directed short produced by Max Fleisher. Two-time Academy Award nominee, Myron Waldman is credited as animator along with Hicks Lokey, who received the Winsor McCay Award for his lifetime of work in the field of animation. From Judge for a Day we have a wonderful full figure image of Betty. You will see this image around the 2:24 mark. The image of Betty was rendered in graphite on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper and measures 3" tall. Mild paper toning due to the age of the artwork. Very Good condition.
