    Description

    Jerry and Jumbo Tom and Jerry Pan Background Layout Drawing (MGM, 1953). Rare detailed original animation paper pan background layout drawing of Tom, Jerry, Jumbo, and Jumbo's mother. This was from scene 43 in the Tom and Jerry theatrical short directed by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera. It's the story of a baby circus elephant who falls from a train; Jerry paints him brown to look like a giant mouse to fool Tom. Notes read Sc 43 Prod. 256. A note to background artist Robert Gentle is written on the drawing. Graphite with red pencil highlights, measuring 10.5" x 49". A portion of pan on the right side was added to extend the fence. A stunning piece of artwork! Three folds, minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
