Description
James and the Giant Peach Rare James Storyboard Art (Walt Disney, 1996). Featured in this lot is a rare storyboard of James from the 1996 film. It was based on the children's book of the same name by Roald Dahl, produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick. The film followed an orphan boy named James and the magical events that led to him escaping his cruel aunts and finding a new family. The large full figure storyboard was created for one of the quieter parts of the film and looks to have been made for either the 43:46, 55:13, or 1:01:01 marks when James is resting. The large drawing was expertly rendered in marker and is about the same size as the paper it was drawn on, measuring approximately 11'' x 8.5''. It captures James' exhausted expression, even as he sleeps. The storyboard is in Very Good condition with minor handling wear and pinholes in the top two corners.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Other Artist.
