    It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown Book Illustration Cel and Background (Bill Melendez, 1978). "Dear Great Pumpkin, I'm looking forward to your arrival on Halloween night. I hope you bring me lots of presents!" Outstanding one-of-a-kind cel and Key Master background of Charlie Brown and Linus in a key opening scene of this historic special that Linus announces his belief in the "Great Pumpkin." This is from the 1978 Read Along Book and Record released on Charlie Brown Records. It can be seen on page 2. Created as a printed line art cel on top of a hand-painted gouache Key Master Background on 11" x 9" illustration board, with an approximate image area of 8.5" x 6.25". The images are a nice 2". Fine condition.
