Description
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Book Illustration (Bill Melendez, c. 1970s). Lucy asks for an extra piece of candy "for my stupid brother who can't come along because he is sitting in the pumpkin patch waiting for the Great Pumpkin!" Outstanding original hand-painted Key Master book illustration setup of Charles Schulz's Lucy, Pig-Pen, Charlie Brown, and company, going trick or treating. This would lead to the famous "I got a rock!" line by Charlie Brown. This was done for a 1970s children's book or consumer products project. The great four-character setup was hand-painted on board with a cel overlay and nice 2" - 3" images. Fine condition.Auction Info
