Invitation to the Dance Layout Drawing (MGM, 1956). Gene Kelly starred and directed this unusual feature film that had no spoken dialogue. It was broken down in to three sections, and used dance to convey the storylines. This is a rare 12 field layout drawing from the third sequence, "Sinbad the Sailor." It was animated by Gene Hazelton (1919 - 2005). He worked at MGM while Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera worked there, before he became a mainstay at Hanna-Barbera Studios. This segment mixed live action with animation. Drawing has Gene Kelly with two Arabian-type guards. Notes on bottom border read "Gene dances with guards." Nice image sizes of 4". Considered very rare. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
