DescriptionIn-House Studio Gag Drawing by Jean Blanchard (Warner Brothers, c. 1940s). A transit strike seems to be the setting for this gag drawing of animator Jean Blanchard (1913 - 1990), hitching a ride to work on a bicycle. Jean was one of the very few female animators working at Warner Brothers; she was active at the studio from 1946 until 1950, according to IMDb. The art is in graphite an color pencils on a sheet of 12 field 2-peghole animation paper, with an image that pretty well fills the page. The art is signed along the bottom edge. Condition is Very Good, with light paper toning and handling wear.
