    I Likes Babies and Infinks Popeye, Olive Oyl and Bluto Theatrical Poster Preliminary Drawing (Max Fleischer, 1937). A crying Swee'Pea has Popeye and Bluto making funny faces, while Olive dangles a rattle, in this extremely rare preliminary for a theatrical one sheet poster. I Likes Babies and Infinks was the 51st Popeye short, released on 9/18/1937. The art for this image is in graphite over red pencil on paper measuring approximately 10.75" x 13", with an image area of 10" x 9.25". The page has had some professional restoration, and is archivally mounted to a backing sheet measuring 12.75" x 15". A low-res print of the published poster is included for reference. Art condition is Good, with handling wear and paper toning.
