How to Play Baseball Goofy Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1942). "The play starts when the batter hits the ball" says the narrator, in this very first Goofy "How To" cartoon. Goofy had made two "Art of Cartoons" and then begin his long-running "How To" series. This classic cartoon was directed by Jack Kinney and was released on 9/4/42. It had four of Disney's "Nine Old Men" animating on this film. Marc Davis, Les Clark, Ollie Johnston, and Ward Kimball all had a hand in the making of this cartoon. This is a series of three sequential 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings of Goofy stepping up to the plate. He does this around the 2:31 mark into the short. Great images, with sizes of 5" - 8" in graphite with red pencil highlights. The actual baseball Goofy is trying to hit is also in each drawing. The three drawings are in one common Plexiglas-front frame measuring 40" x 14". Matted with three openings measuring 11" x 8". Actual screen grab prints of this sequence are included on back of the frame. Sequences of this nature are considered very rare. Frame is sold as-is, artwork condition is Very Good.
