Description
How to Play Baseball Goofy Animation Drawing Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1942). "The play starts when the batter hits the ball. Strangely enough, however, the pitcher tries to keep the batter from hitting the ball." Goofy demonstrates the art of baseball in this marvelous sequence of three rare original animation drawings from the Jack Kinney-directed How to Play Baseball. A popular favorite among the sports-themed theatrical shorts in which Goofy plays every role, How to Play Baseball was very well received on its release. The Film Daily wrote, "With a serious world looking forward to the World Series, that incomparable master of animated humor, Walt Disney, comes forward with one of his most side-splitting subjects..." The three drawings are created in graphite with red and blue colored pencil on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. They are numbered in their lower right corners with 120, H238, and 340. The drawings are in Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including age-related toning and minor creasing. There is a small tear on drawing H238's lower right peghole.More information about Walt Disney Studios - Fab Five. See also: Fab Five, Disney's Fab Five Artist.
