Description

Hot Air Races (Popeye) Bluto Storyboard Drawing (Famous Studios, 1949). Popeye and Bluto race their planes around the world in this carton, and naturally, Bluto doesn't play fair! Here's an original storyboard drawing believed to be from the hand of Izzy Klein, depicting a scene of Bluto in the cockpit, casually reading a comic book. The scene was ultimately scrapped from the short, making this piece exceptionally rare! The art is in ink, color pencils, and whiteout on paper measuring approximately 11"x 8.5", with an image size of 10.25" x 7.5"; the number 28 is written in red crayon in the top left, and 125 in the lower right corners. Condition is Very Good with minor handling wear and age-related toning.
