    Description

Horse on the Merry-Go-Round Animation Drawings Group of 4 (Columbia, 1938). Group of four original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings, with two from Columbia's Color Rhapsody short Horse on the Merry-Go-Round short, directed by Ub Iwerks. The two drawings are of a comical policeman, one of which is a great exaggerated reaction shot, with his old-fashioned "Keystone Cop" helmet flying off his head; these are both in graphite, with image sizes of 5" and 7" tall (with helmet). The other two we haven't yet been able to identify. One drawing is of a wolf abducting what appears to be a long-eared piglet; it's in graphite with a red pencil baseline, and image size of 4.5" x 3.5". The other is of a long-eared dog caught in a leash; it's graphite and red pencil, image size 4.5" x 3.5". All are in Very Good condition with minor handling and edge wear.
