    Description

Hoppity Goes to Town aka Mr. Bug Goes to Town Animation Drawing (Max Fleischer, 1941).
Hoppity the Grasshopper, after being away, returns home to an "American city" (most likely Manhattan). He finds that all is not as he left it, and his insect friends are now under threat from the "human ones," who are trampling through the broken-down fence, using it as a shortcut. The film was produced by Max Fleischer (1883 - 1972) and directed by Dave Fleischer (1894 - 1979) and Shamus Culhane (1908 - 1996). In this lot is an exceptional animation drawing of Hoppity. The piece was hand-drawn in graphite on 12 field, 3-peghole animation paper. Included is a screen grab copy. The artwork has age-related paper toning, normal, handling and edge wear. Otherwise, Very Good condition.
