Harvey Eisenberg Hey There, It's Yogi Bear Comic Book Pages 1-4 Original Art (Gold Key/Hanna-Barbera, 1964). "Wake up Boo Boo! Spring has sprung!" Yogi Bear began as a character on the 1959 Huckleberry Hound Show. His popularity got him his own series in 1961, and then he went on to star in Hanna-Barbera's very first theatrical animated feature film, Hey There, It's Yogi Bear. This film was released on 6/3/64. A comic book of the same title was released to cross-promote the film. Art was done by Harvey Eisenberg (1912 - 1964). It was some of his last work on Hanna-Barbera comics. Here are the first four pages to this story, which was published by Gold Key/Western as Movie Comics #10133-409. It was released in June of 1964, around the same time as the movie's release. Each page is ink on Bristol board measuring 19" x 26". Yogi, Boo Boo, Ranger Smith, and Cindy Bear are all featured on the pages in this lot. Minor handling and edge wear. Very Good condition.
