    Hank Porter - Gideon USS Positive World War II Insignia Drawing Original Art (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). Hank Porter (1900 - 1951) was Walt Disney's One Man Art Department for many years. He headed up a department to provide World War II insignias and this department did over 1200 insignias for the war effort. This is a Hank Porter original insignia artwork featuring the Pinocchio character Gideon the Cat, drawn in graphite and blue pencil on circular-cut onionskin paper, with a width of 7". This image can be seen in the World War II Insignia art book Characters of Military on page 80. A fantastic Porter original! Minor handling and edge wear. Good condition.
