    Description

Hair Ribbin' Dog Animation Drawings Sequence of 5 (Warner Brothers, 1944). "I am looking for little gray rabbit!" Bob Clampett directed this wild and wacky short which for some reason takes place almost entirely under water. In it, Bugs Bunny taunts a dog with an odd red hairdo and Russian accent (a take-off on then-popular radio comedian Bert "The Mad Russian" Gordon). The scene that this sequence of five original animation drawings comes from is at the 5:48 mark when Bugs summons the dog with a bell. It's a remarkable collection of 7" x 4" graphite drawings, all of which have been embellished with colored pencil and two bear notations indicating their use as color models. Each one is on 12 field 2-peghole paper and numbered in the lower right corner. All show minor handling, edge wear and toning. Condition is Very Good. From the Rev Chaney Archives.
