Gulliver's Travels Lilliput Concept Painting by Theron Brown (Fleischer Studios, 1939). Gulliver's Travels was the Fleischer Studios answer to Disney's Snow White. The feature was directed by Dave Fleischer, with production finished at the Studio's new home in Miami, Florida. This is an amazing pre-production concept painting, done in gouache on board measuring approximately 15" x 19", with tape wear along the borders. The back of the board reads, "Background Gulliver's Travels Max Fleischer Studios Miami, Florida Full Color J-289X." The painting was at some point returned to artist Theron Brown, who added a signature and dated it 1940 (even though the film came out in 1939). Fine condition.
