Gulliver's Travels "It's a Hap-Hap-Happy Day" Rare Storyboard Group of 16 and Layout Drawing (Fleischer Studios, 1939). "It's a hap-hap-happy day, toodle-oodle-oodle-oodle-oodle-lay!" Travel to Lilliput in this incredibly rare group of 16 storyboard drawings and one layout drawing from the "It's a Hap-Hap-Happy Day" musical sequence of the 1939 feature Gulliver's Travels. The storyboard drawings can be found starting at about the 45:31 timestamp as a Lilliputian calls for the others to hurry with the buttons. All are rendered in graphite with color pencil for Scene 8 and capture various ways the Lilliputians help clean Gulliver up and repair his clothes. These hard-to-find storyboards do include two politically incorrect drawings of the fingernail shiner with stereotyped features typical of African American characters in animation at the time that were altered in the final film. The layout drawing was used for the shaving scene at roughly 46:43. The 3-peghole drawings range from about 8.25" x 5.25" to 10" x 7.5" on 11'' x 8.5" paper. Good to Very Good condition with minor edge and handling wear, light age-related toning, faint smudging, and pinholes from studio use.
