Description

Grim Natwick Gag Illustration (1928). "Any ice today, lady?" Rare pen and ink illustrated gag cartoon by legendary animator Grim Natwick. The back of the art has a mailing label addressed to "M. H. Natwick" (Grim's real first name was Myron) and a New York City address. Ink on Bristol board, with an approximate image area of 15" x 13"; the typewritten caption is on a separate piece of paper flapped on and glued to the backside of the board. Handling wear along the edges, and a small area of paper surface loss above the man's head (possibly an art correction by Grim, is not distracting to the image), otherwise Fine condition. A great nostalgic bit of "naughty" art!
