    Description

Good Housekeeping "The Good Scouts" Donald, Huey, Dewey, and Louie Preliminary Drawing (Walt Disney, 1938). "The Good Scouts" short starred Donald Duck and also featured his nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. It was directed by Jack King, had story work by Carl Barks, and some animation by Jack Hannah. An outstanding drawing of Donald and the boys, this appears to be preliminary artwork done for the May, 1938 Good Housekeeping Disney page. It is the second illustration on the page. Done in graphite, with red pencil highlights, on trimmed 12" x 10" paper, the drawing is most likely from the hand of either Hank Porter or Tom Wood. Amazing detail. The "2" written in the top right corner, probably indicates that this was the second image for the story. In Fine condition.
