Gillette TV Commercial Seahorse Animation Drawing (Warner Bros., 1960s). Major animation studios tried to crack the growing TV commercial animation boom in the 1950s and '60s. This is a a great model drawing of a Seahorse used in a Warner Brothers' Gillette commercial directed by Phil Monroe. The model drawing has notes that indicate the layout was by Maurice Noble and animation by Wick and Tom Ray. Extensive notes on the Seahorse include "Give him an umbrella instead of a cane" and "Note straight back" among many descriptions of the character. Framed with a mat opening of 9" x 10". Mr. Seahorse is 6", rendered in graphite on animation paper. In Fine condition.
