DescriptionGiantland Mickey Mouse and Rumplewatt the Giant Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). This short had the first animated use of Mickey's nephews. He reads to them about himself in a "Jack and the Beanstalk"-type role. Here is a pair of original 12 field 2-peghole animation drawings of Rumplewatt the Giant (who was named in a later comic strip adaptation of this short) and Mickey Mouse. Mickey is shown from the scene when he is in the Giant's mouth, trying to elude peas the big boy is eating, at around the 4:20 mark. Rumplewatt is sneezing after Mickey throws pepper in his face around the 6:20 mark. It's funny to see the Giant with a newspaper where the back sports page says "GIANTS WIN." This short was directed by Bert Gillett and released on 11/25/33. Graphite images of 4" and 6". Nice green and yellow highlights on the giant. Minor handling and edge wear; Fine condition.
