    Description

    Fred Moore "Freddy's Girl" on Nitrate Illustration (Walt Disney, c. 1940s). Fred Moore (1911-1952) was an animator who helped redesign Mickey Mouse (as well as for Walter Lantz's Woody Woodpecker). His work can be seen in The Three Little Pigs, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and many other classic Disney films. He was known for his sexy girl sketches, called "Freddy's Girls;" these drawings were showcased in Walt Disney: The Illusion of Life, by Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston. This is a rare inked Freddy Girl on a nitrate cel. His signature image of a pedestal that the woman sits on is on display here. The image is approximately 10", and the cel has been matted and framed with Plexiglas, for an overall size of 18" x 22". The art is in Fine condition.
