    Description

Foghorn Leghorn and Dog Animation Art Animation Drawings (Warner Brothers, 1953/50's). This is a pair of vintage Warner Brothers animation drawings by legendary director Bob McKimson (1911 - 1977). The drawing of Foghorn is from an unidentified 40's or early 50's production. This is a rough and his outfit may have changed or the scene was cut. Nevertheless, it's a fine 4" tall image of Foggy in a ball cap, scarf and "PU" sweatshirt. The dog drawing is from the hilarious 1955 short, Dime To Retire starring Porky Pig and Daffy Duck. In it Porky is staying at a hotel run by Daffy and is continually awaken by various creatures. Daffy's solution is to up the ante by supplying the next animal in the food-chain... at a price. In this scene at the 3:56 minute mark, he has brought in a boxer to chase away the cat that he brought in earlier to catch a mouse. This is a cleanup drawing of a 5.5" boxer and the detail is exceptional. Both drawings are graphite, Foghorn is on 12 field, 5-peghole paper and the boxer is on 2-peghole paper. Looney Tunes art from this era is exceptionally hard to find. The paper shows aging and minor handling; otherwise condition is Very Good.
