Fantasia "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1940). Mickey dawns his master's hat, awakening his potential as a sorcerer. The section of Fantasia famously featured the mouse in his greatest role, using Yen Sid's magical hat to bring a crew of brooms to life that would do his chores for him. If only, right? This lot features a masterful 12 field animation drawing of the section "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", directed by James Algar with Disney Legends Fred Moore and Vladimir "Bill" Tytla serving as the animation supervisors. This full figure Mickey Mouse can be found at about 33:58 as he commands the heavens themselves, stars and planets rushing past him. The graphite with color pencil drawing measures about 8'' x 6'' with green and yellow highlights, a beautiful dynamic pose, and a joyful expression for our favorite mouse. There is a note in green, a studio production stamp in the lower left, and the note of 18 in the lower right.
