DescriptionFantasia "Pastoral Symphony" Melinda and Brutus Animation Drawings (Walt Disney, 1940).
Walt Disney's 1940s opus, Fantasia, reached artistic heights that few others films ever have. The film consisted of eight segments set to classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski. In this lot we have two pieces from the "Pastoral Symphony" segment when the Cupids bring together Melinda and Brutus, the centaurette and centaur. This is an outstanding pair of original animation drawings of both Melinda and Brutus. A beautiful set of two, with nice large image sizes of 6" and 7". Rendered in graphite with slight red and green pencil highlights. The two drawings are in one frame of 31.5" x 19" under Plexiglas with mat openings of 8.5" x 12" and 15" x 12". The drawing of Melinda has been trimmed before framing. Screen grab copies are affixed to the back of the frame. Fine condition.
