Fantasia "The Pastoral Symphony" Centaurette Animation Drawing by Disney Legend Ollie Johnston (Walt Disney, 1940). One of the gorgeous centaurettes from "The Pastoral Symphony" segment of Fantasia is getting all dolled up in this lot in a 12 field graphite with color pencil animation drawing by Disney Legend and one of Disney's "Nine Old Men" Ollie Johnston (1912 - 2008). Johnston joined the studio in 1935 and animated numerous beloved characters over the years (Pinocchio, Bambi, Alice, Lady, Mowgli, and Winnie the Pooh to name a few). Disney Legend Fred Moore (1911 - 1952), who mentored Johnston, supervised the animation of this segment and created the concepts for the centaurettes, which led them to strongly resemble his "Freddie's Girls". You can find this centaurette at about 1:19:44 after she lets a cherub dab on a bit of lipstick, excited to meet the available centaurs in the forest and find her match. She is about 4.25'' x 6'' on the page and numbered H19 in the lower right. For fans and collectors of Ollie Johnston, this is your chance to not only add a stunning centaurette to your collection, but also bring home a drawing from Johnston's archive.
