    Description

Fantasia Mushroom Dancers Multiplane 3-D Courvoisier Setup (Walt Disney, 1940). The multiplane camera was invented by Ub Iwerks and tested on the 1937 theatrical short, The Old Mill. It was then used on Snow White and many other Disney feature films. Courvoisier Galleries came up with a 3-D Multiplane art piece that showcased the 3-D levels used in this camera. Mostly seen on the market are ones featuring Bambi and Wynken, Blynken, and Nod. This is a very rare Courvoisier hand-painted on glass multi-level (multiplane) setup of the Mushroom Dancers from the "Nutcracker Suite" section of Fantasia. Art is hand-painted on top glass and two other levels. Frame size is 8.5" x 8". Original paperwork is torn but still on back of frame. This is #15 in a series of these Multiplane recreation setups, and is considered a very rare one. Good condition.
