    Description

Famous Studio Production Background Group (Famous Studios, c. 1960s). Three original hand-painted cartoon backgrounds, done by famed book illustrator and animation artist Anton Loeb. Mr. Loeb illustrated several children's books in the 1940s, including The Train That Won a Medal (1947). These three pieces, done for a 1960s cartoon, are striking works of art in their own right. Includes two Western scenes (one 19.5" x 10", the other 15" x 10"), and one city street scene with a "split fountain" effect that shifts from yellow to pink, measuring 17.5" x 10.25". Mixed media on paper, in Fine condition.
