    Description

Elmer Fudd Original Illustration (Warner Brothers, c. 1940s). Elmer Fudd became Bugs Bunny's number one nemesis with their classic hunting-themed shorts. This is the original published ink and gouache on paper artwork. It was used in all studio press materials as well as to make Fan Cards for the multitude of Warner Brothers cartoon enthusiasts. The art was also used for the official 1944 Warner Brothers studio stationary. Warner Brothers studio stationary had six characters on one side and six on the other. The letterhead reads "Warner Brothers Pictures Inc. Cartoon Division 461 S. California St. Burbank California." This great full-figure hunting outfit pose of 9" has a Robert McKimson vibe going on. "ELMER" is written under his image. Original studio publicity artwork of this caliber from this era is very rare. This one-of-a-kind piece is in a 12" x 15" mat with a mat opening of 7" x 10". Minor handling and edge wear; otherwise the piece is in Very Good condition.
