Description

Dumbo Jim Crow and Specks Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1941). "But I be done seen about everything when I see a elephant fly." Jim "Dandy" Crow and his fellow crow Specks are so stunned after hearing the absurd idea of an elephant flying that they start to sing and dance! From the 1941 movie Dumbo, we have in this lot two animation drawings showcasing Jim Crow and Specks dance, seen at the 56:06 and 56:07 mark of the film during the musical number "When I See an Elephant Fly." Both animation drawings are rendered in graphite with colored pencils, with an image size of 4.25" x 4.5" for Jim and 4.25" x 3.75" for Specks on drawing 111 in the bottom right corner and a joined image size of 5.75" x 4.5" in the drawing numbered 138, both on 12-field sized 5-peghole animation paper. Drawing 11 has the middle peghole reinforced, and both show light age-related toning with minor handling wear from production. In Very Good condition.
