    Description

Doug Wildey Jonny Quest Illustration (Hanna-Barbera, 1986). Doug Wildey (1922-1994) co-created the hit Jonny Quest TV Series for Hanna-Barbera that premiered on ABC in prime time on 9/18/64. Wildey's designs were something television animation had never seen before. The show was brought back in syndication and made part of The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera in 1986. In fact, 13 new episodes were made for this show. This is an unbelievable mixed-media painting from the hand of Doug Wildey... it features Jonny, Hadji, Race Bannon, Jezebel Jade, Doctor Benton Quest, and of course Bandit. It is framed with a mat opening of 13" x 13". The stunning painting is signed by Doug Wildey in the image area. This painting was produced circa 1986 for consumer products used around the time that the new episodes were being made. It is simply one of the most striking paintings we have seen from the hand of Mr. Wildey. In Fine condition.
