Donald's Cousin Gus Hand-Painted Background (Walt Disney, 1939). In Donald's Cousin Gus, Donald Duck is visited by his cousin, Gus Goose, who has a voracious appetite and proceeds to eat Donald out of house and home. This short subject film, produced by Walt Disney, was released on 5/3/39. It features Clarence Nash as the voice of Donald Duck with animation by Dick Lundy who is remembered as one of the creators of Donald Duck. Story writing credits go to Jack Hannah and Disney Legend Inductee, Carl Barks. From Donald's Cousin Gus we have a terrific background painting. This superb piece of vintage animation art was hand-painted using gouache on 12 field 5-peghole background animation paper. The artwork is in Very Good condition.
