Donald's Cousin Gus Gus Goose Animation Drawings Sequence of 4 (Walt Disney, 1939). In this funny cartoon, Donald gets a visit from a very unwelcome guest, his cousin Gus Goose. Down on the farm where Gus is from, they have enormous appetites, which Donald finds out in a hurry! Jack King directed this short, which must have had theater-goers running to the concession stand after watching. Here's an original sequence of four 12 field 5-peghole animation drawings of Gus as he happily hooks his umbrella to a platter of spaghetti and prepares to eat it in a most unusual way -- with knitting needles! The drawings are noted in the lower right as C4, C7, C11A, and C80, and feature large 6" to 6.5" figure sizes of Gus at the table, drawn in graphite with red and green penciled highlights. The first two drawings also feature animator's notes and timing rundowns. Overall condition is Good, with minor handling and edge wear, including a couple of small corner folds.
