Doctor Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Max Animation Drawing and Limited Edition Cel (MGM/Chuck Jones, 1966/1996). "You're a monster... Mr. Grinch! Your heart's an empty hole!" Adorable fun image of Max with a fluffy beard. There is a 12 field production animation drawing of Max, The Grinch's dog, in a pillow case with stuffing creating a Santa beard on him. This is from the famous Sewing machine scene. The Grinch will use the pillow stuffing to decorate his Santa hat. You can see this image of Max at about the 8:51 mark into the TV special. The 1966 production drawing has a Linda Jones seal and is hand-signed by the film's director, animation legend, Mr. Chuck Jones (1912-2002). The drawing is framed with a hand-painted one-of-one original cel that was created from this exact drawing. The hand-painted cel of Max is also hand-signed by Chuck Jones. Both production drawing and the 1-of-1 cel are framed in one common frame. Letter of authenticity is on reverse of frame. Max and his pillow measure 7". Plexiglas front framed to 33.5" x 17.5" and in Fine condition.
