Doctor Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas Animation Drawing and Limited Edition Cel (MGM/Chuck Jones, 1966/1996). "I must find some way to keep Christmas from coming!" An authentic production animation drawing of the Grinch from the beloved holiday classic. It features an amazing facial close up that can be seen at about the 3:35 mark into the TV special when the Grinch is deciding on his master plan! A huge drawing, it is 8" tall. There is a Linda Jones seal on the drawing and it is hand-signed by the film's Director, animation legend, Mr. Chuck Jones (1912-2002). A hand-painted one-of-only-one cel was created from this drawing and that is matted next to it. The limited edition cel also has the seal and is also hand-signed by Chuck Jones. The special effects portion of the teeth are added to the cel. Both production drawing and the 1-of-1 cel are Plexiglas front framed together to 29.5" x 20.5". The official Linda Jones Letter of authenticity is on the back of the frame. An impressive and rare Grinch close up, and in Fine condition.Auction Info
