Disney Studio Holiday Card Painted Illustration by Paul Wenzel (Walt Disney, 1977). "When what to their wondering eyes should appear... Elliott, in place of eight tiny reindeer." In Paul Wenzel's 42 years at Disney, his artwork was selected for over a dozen annual Studio Holiday cards. This is a rare original painting, from the hand of Wenzel, for a 1977 Studio Holiday card project. Art is in watercolor/gouache and ink on heavy illustration board measuring 20.5" x 26", with a clear cel overlay and camera registration marks along the border. The painted image takes up 11" x 8". Great Christmas scene with Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto singing carols in the snow. Artwork for Walt Disney Studio holiday cards is always considered extremely rare. A photocopy of the actual card used is included. Minor handling and surface wear. Very Good condition.
