    Disney Studio Christmas Card Illustration by Paul Wenzel (Walt Disney, 1977). "When what to their wondering eyes should appear... Elliott in place of eight tiny reindeer!" This is how the Walt Disney Studio holiday card read from front cover to inside. The artist for that year's holiday card was Mr. Paul Wenzel. He did the artwork for a dozen studio cards. This card is showcased in the great new Disney book on Studio Holiday Cards titled From All of Us to All of You - The Disney Christmas Card by Jeff Kurtti. It is shown with the story behind it on page 99. This is the Paul Wenzel original painting used for the interior of the card. It is in acrylics on illustration board measuring 23" x 17". Elliott is a staggering 13" long! Original artwork for Disney Studio holiday cards are very rare. This one is hand-signed by the artist, Paul Wenzel in bottom border. A color copy of the actual printed card is included in the lot. Minor handling wear. In Very Good condition.
