Daredevil Droopy Layout Drawing (MGM, 1951). "Daredevil Dog Wanted - Must Be Fearless." This is the sign Droopy and Spike read when the circus comes to town. They both apply to "The Great Barko and His Famous Acrobatic Dogs" group. This is an original layout drawing for the "See a Woman Sawed in Half" segment, where they both compete. This can be seen at the 2:05 mark. This is actually two drawings taped in vertical fashion, as this scene in the cartoon pans down. Tex Avery directed this great Droopy cartoon; it was released on 3/31/51. Art is in graphite with red pencil outlines of Droopy and Spike; the detail is amazing! These are two 12 field animation sheets spliced together, with an overall size of 21" x 12.5". Production notes and numbers in are written in the borders. Minor handling and edge wear. In Very Good condition.
