Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier Joe Shimamura Animation Drawing (Japan Vistec/Studio OX, c. 2001-02). The iconic hero Joe Shimamura as Cyborg 009 is featured here in this marvelous original animation drawing created for the 2001 series Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier. The third television series adaptation in the long running Cyborg 009 franchise which had its manga debut in 1964, Cyborg 009: The Cyborg Soldier received an English dub and U.S. nationwide broadcasting during Cartoon Network's Toonami block from 2003-04. This dynamic image of the titular hero is pleasingly centered and measures a fabulous 6.5" x 6.5", rendered in graphite on 12 field animation paper and numbered B-2 in the upper right corner.
