    Description

Coraline Coraline Puppet Armature Design Original Artwork (LAIKA, 2009). An interesting look into the making of a Coraline puppet for the film. This is original artwork showcasing the armature inside the puppet. A full-front pose as well as a side-facing pose. The artwork is done in graphite and colored pencil on vellum. The paper is 11" x 17" and the full-figure pose is 8" tall, with the side-facing view being 4" tall. There are pinholes in the top corners. As a bonus, the mechanical aspect artwork includes a rare studio print of a Coraline doll marked "Garden Party (short length option)." This refers to the outfit Coraline is wearing. A hand-done correction has been made by the "folded cuffs" writing, on the print. There are four images of Coraline in this outfit. Coraline, shown with two different sets of footwear, is a nice 6" tall in each of the four poses. In Fine condition. From the LAIKA Archives.
