    Description

Cookie Carnival Animation Layout Drawing and Printed Model Sheets Group of 3 (Walt Disney, 1935).
This classic and elaborate Silly Symphony short was directed by Ben Sharpsteen and released on 5/25/35. It had a massive amount of people on this short that included Grim Natwick, Ferdinand Horvath, Bill Tytla, Frank Thomas, Jack Kinney, Ugo D'Orsi and many others. This short paid homage to the Atlantic City Boardwalk parade and pageants at the time. The plot involved the crowning of the Cookie Queen and King in Cookie town. This is an outstanding and rare 12 field layout drawing of the Gingerbread Man pulling the Gingerbread Girl, soon to be the Cookie Queen. He has just inserted her on his float at the end of the parade. You can see this image around the 3:24 mark into the cartoon. Graphite on 12 field 3-peghole animation paper. With this lot are two rare studio printed model sheets for this short as well. WDP mark is on bottom of each one. Three total pieces in this lot. All three lots are framed. Frames are all approx. 19" x 17" with mat openings of 11" x 9". Frames are sold as-is. Artwork has minor handling and is in Good condition.
