    Description

Cock o' the Walk Original Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1935).
Cock o' the Walk is a Walt Disney Silly Symphony short released on 11/30/35, directed by Ben Sharpsteen. In Cock o' the Walk a prize fighting rooster comes to town, a celebration is held, complete with elaborate parodies of Busby Berkeley dance routines. When the cock sweeps a young hen off her feet, however, he is challenged to a fight by her jealous suitor. In this lot is a superb vintage drawing of seven pairs of dancing hens. One of "Walt's Nine Old Men", Eric Larson (1905 - 1988) supervised the animation of the gossiping and dancing hens outside the ring. The piece was rendered in graphite on 12 field, 5-peghole animation paper. The image area measures approximately 11" x 7". This is a terrific opportunity to add a piece of rare vintage animation to you collection! Very mild age-related toning. Condition is Very Good.
