City Hunter Ryo Saeba Animation Drawing (Sunrise, c. 1987-89). Created by Tsukasa Hojo, City Hunter was serialized in the famous Weekly Shonen Jump from 1985 until 1991. The first season of this anime series debuted on Yomiuri Television on April 6, 1987. The animation drawing in this lot is a fantastic example of the visual style associated so much with this era of animation. The different shadings in Ryo's face and the detailed hair shine bring a great sense of depth in just an animation drawing! Ryo has a figure size of 10.5" x 8" in the 10.75" x 9" 3-peghole animation paper numbered A 2 on the top right corner. This is an exemplary close-up look at the highly skilled yet goofy private investigator. The animation drawing is rendered in graphite with red, orange, yellow, blue, and green pencil shading and details. Some paint from a cel stuck lightly on the animation paper. Very light toning on the left edge. Overall condition is Very Good.
