Chuck Jones - Marc Antony and Kitty Illustration (Warner Brothers, 1999). This original Chuck Jones watercolor illustration features Marc Antony (the big tough dog), and Kitty (the stray kitten he adopts against his owner's wishes). They debuted in 1952's Feed the Kitty short and went on to star in another four shorts after that, all directed by Mr. Jones. Their debut cartoon was ranked 36th in Jerry Beck's book, The 50 Greatest Cartoons. Currently in 2015, Mr. Jones' artwork is being showcased across the U.S. in a five year traveling Smithsonian Tour. Original watercolors by his hand are considered very hard to find, especially of cult favorite characters such as these. Graphite and watercolor on acid-free rag-edged illustration paper. The paper measures 14.5" x 11" with Mark Antony measuring 6" tall. The artwork is museum quality framed with a linen backing mat and art floated in the frame. Comes with a Linda Jones Enterprises Letter of Authenticity dated Mar 4th, 1999. In Excellent condition.
