Carousel Pastel Illustration by Collin Campbell (Walt Disney, 1960s-70s). This is a rare, original pastel drawing -- a nighttime city scene of a carousel. Artist Collin Campbell (1926-2011) was inducted as a Disney Legend in 2013. He began with Disney in 1943, after a brief job prior to World War II. He worked in Layouts and Backgrounds alongside such talented artists as Peter Ellenshaw and Walt Peregoy. Campbell was instrumental in the Mickey Mouse Club design and Disney's appearance at the 1964 World's Fair; he became a driving force in Disney theme park design. The art is signed on the bottom right "C. Campbell". This magnificent piece of artwork is glass-front framed with a mat opening of 12" x 9" to an overall size of 18" x 15". Fine condition. From the Joe Hale Archives.
