DescriptionCamping Out Minnie Mouse Animation Drawings Sequence of 3 (Walt Disney, 1934).
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow are enjoying a camp-out when hundreds of mosquitos invade their campsite. Horace squirts some with molasses, which helps but the gang is forced to retreat to the tent, where they still get stung but fight back. Eventually they outsmart the flying pests and trap them -- in a pair of bloomers! The short opens with Minnie sitting in a tire swing, playing her banjo as Mickey plays along on his harmonica. This terrific sequence of vintage Minnie Mouse 12 field 2-peghole drawings can be seen starting around the 0:23 mark in this Wilfred Jackson-directed 1934 short, Camping Out. The drawings were rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper, and are numbered 68 (image size 3.75" x 6.25); #70 A (image 3.75" x 6.5"); and 82 A (image 3.25" x 6"). This highly-detailed Disney Studio working production art has minor handling and paper toning, with reinforced pegholes on one piece; condition is Very Good.
