Camping Out Clarabelle Cow Animation Drawings Sequence of 5 (Walt Disney, 1934).
Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow are enjoying a camp out when hundreds of mosquitos invade their campsite. Horace squirts some with molasses, which helps but the gang is forced to retreat to the tent, where they still get stung but can fight back. Eventually they outsmart the flying pests and trap them in a pair of bloomers. The short opens with Minnie sitting in a tire swing, playing her banjo as Mickey plays along on his harmonica. This terrific sequence of vintage Minnie Mouse drawings can be seen starting around the 0:23 mark in Walt Disney's 1934 short subject film, Camping Out. The drawings were rendered in graphite on 12 field 2-peghole animation paper, numbered 9 (figure size 5"); #15 (figure size 5"); 18 (figure size 5"); #104 (image area size 5.5" x 3.75"); and #159 (figure size 4"). Mild paper toning and minor handling wear, with reinforced pegholes in one drawing; overall condition is Very Good.
