Building a Building Mickey and Minnie Mouse Animation Drawings Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1933). This Mickey short was a remake of the 1928 Oswald the Lucky Rabbit short Sky Scrapers and was the first directorial turn for David Hand. It was nominated for an Academy Award but lost to Disney's The Three Little Pigs. Here is a pair of outstanding original 12 field, 2-peghole production drawings. The first is Mickey Mouse in the process of making a sandwich. This can be seen at the 3:54 mark when the lunch bell rings, while he is battling Pete. It's a great graphite image with red highlights measuring 2.75" x 3.25" and numbered 72. The second drawing is Minnie holding a brick. She's in full-figure, measuring 4" x 3.25, and numbered 81 in the bottom right corner. Both show very minor handling; otherwise Condition is Fine.
