Description

Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears Bugs Bunny Animation Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1944). "Don't move! Your eyes... Your lips... You're beautiful!" Bugs Bunny finds himself in trouble when he encounters the Three Bears. In this version of the classic story, the Bears intentionally lure the rabbit into their house so that they can beat him up! Quick-thinking Bugs manages to escape the beating, however, by flattering Mama Bear. This moment can be found at about the 5:37 mark of the 1944 short Bugs Bunny and the Three Bears. Chuck Jones directed this short, in which the Three Bears appear for the first time in a Warner Brothers cartoon. This original animation drawing depicts a smiling Bugs Bunny in a brilliant, full-figure image as he flirts with Mama Bear. The image of Bugs measures about 3.5" x 5.75". The drawing is rendered in graphite with a brown pencil under-drawing on 12 field animation paper. The page is marked in its lower right corner with 223-R. This drawing is quite rare, as most early Warner Brothers production art was destroyed. This great piece is in Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear, including age-related toning, a few tiny stains, and some minor creasing.
